LYING LIMBAUGH

Enabling the Stupid & the Misinformed

Today I listened to Rush Limbaugh for a little longer than I normally do-I usually catch maybe 5-8 minutes of his first hour but since Al Franken is on vacation this week and they're playing his 'best of', I decided to listen to Limbaugh. After all, it was either Limbaugh or O'Reilly and I flipped a coin and the fatter of the two idiots won.

Nothing ever changes with the right-wing's 'Mr. Family Values', you know, the three-time married, three-time divorced, fake a back injury hillbilly heroin addict, who is the spokesperson for Republicans and certainly George W. Bush and Karl Rove. At least that's what he say's anyway.

But as usual, anytime I listen to Limbaugh I can always count on some type of lie or misinformation about every 10-15 minutes. Today I gave him about 30 minutes so I'd like to write about two of his lies on today's show.

1. Limbaugh said that the 9/11 Commission's report stated Clinton was offered bin Laden by Sudan three times and he turned it down.
THE FACTS *
Here's what the 9/11 Commission actually said;
"We have not found any reliable evidence to support the Sudanese claim."

The report say's nothing of the sort. Limbaugh knows it's not true but he say's it anyway knowing his listeners don't have a clue. The 'ditto-heads' repeat the lie.

2. Limbaugh laughed when he mentioned 'Tora Bora' and how crazy Democrats still raise the lie of how Bush, through General Tommy Franks allowed Osama bin Laden to escape the mountains at Tora Bora. The fact of the matter is, Franks committed a huge blunder when he had bin Laden trapped and instead of using our special forces he allowed local Afghan warlord's fighters, some of who had previous close ties to al Qaeda, to go in instead. As we know, bin Laden slipped out the backdoor and has evaded us ever since. The Bush Administration conceded as much when it said in April 2002, "its gravest error in the war against al Qaeda".

Now, that was in a 30 minute span of listening to the Republican lying mouth piece. I won't even bring up his pathetic rant about feeling sorry for Wen Ho Lee, when, if I remember correctly, he was one of the loudest antagonists against Lee when Lee was first arrested and charged with espionage. Limbaugh tried to use it at the time as proof the Clinton administration was allowing the Chinese to get away with spying on us. Now, he acts like he believed Lee was innocent the whole time. The guy is a pathological liar.

I can't imagine listening to that bullshit everyday for 3 hours a day. No wonder ditto heads are so misinformed and quite frankly, stupid.

I'll give another update of 'Lying Limbaugh' when Al Franken goes on vacation again. In the meantime, keep listening ditto heads, it's more fun this way.

CHENEY & RUMSFELD BACKED IRANIAN CRIMINAL FROM 1979

UPDATE FROM 6/25/05 POST

As you read here on 6/25/05, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and a whole host of Republican hawks strangely supported the election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, as the new president of Iran.

Now several former American hostages from the Iranian Embassy takeover in 1979 have come forward to say Ahmadinejad was one of their captors.

This is a yet another clear example of Republicans once again going against the interests of the U.S. and the public just sits there stupidly, not saying a word. They should be impeached.

SUPPORTING WHICH TROOPS?

THE LIE

"At this time when we celebrate our freedom, let us stand with the men and women who defend us all". George Bush 6/28/05 Ft. Bragg, North Carolina

THE TRUTH

'At a time when VA funding is 25 percent lower than it was 5 years ago, Murray's amendment would've provided badly needed funds for mental health treatment, new veterans and local clinics. Instead, the $80 billion supplemental for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the $2.6 trillion Senate Budget Resolution for 2006 denies full quality treatment to returning and current vets. The 13,000 soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan since March 2003, 30 percent of whom return with post traumatic stress disorder or other psychological problems, can't even get a little help from their Republican friends'.

When Bush and Republicans tell you they 'support the troops' their actions don't support what really takes place. From Bush and Cheney trying to deny our troops a meager increase in hazardous duty pay to the Republicans voting almost unanimously AGAINST additional funding for injured troops returning from Iraq, Republicans have shown they actually despise our American men and women fighting their unnecessary war in Iraq.

Who was it in April of this year who sponsored the amendment to increase the amount paid to those killed in action to $500,000? Who was it who sponsored the amendment that increased the time allowed to stay in military housing to 12 months for the families of those killed in action? It was John Kerry on both accounts.

For those of you who support Bush and the Republicans, which troops do you support? Your actions and your votes don't back what really takes place.

LYING FLIP-FLOPPING HYPOCRITE

Talk about lying hypocritical flip-flopping! The LiberalAvenger , with an assist from 'Think Progress' nails the BIG LIAR just in time for his prime-time comedy hour tonight. Maybe one of the soldiers from FT. Bragg could ask him about this tonight. Oh, that's right...

Bush criticizing Clinton about Kosovo;

George W. Bush, 4/9/99:
"Victory means exit strategy, and it's important for the president to explain to us what the exit strategy is."
And on the specific need for a timetable, here's what Bush said then and what he says now:
George W. Bush, 6/5/99
"I think it's also important for the president to lay out a timetable as to how long they will be involved and when they will be withdrawn."
[ed. note: article originally ran in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer on 6/5/99]
VERSUS
George W. Bush, 6/24/05:
"It doesn't make any sense to have a timetable. You know, if you give a timetable, you're - you're conceding too much to the enemy."

Oh yeah, and by the way, how many Americans have died in Kosovo, again?

DAMN, I DIDN'T KNOW

Philanthropist and Entrepreneur John Walton Killed in Airplane Crash

Press Release Source: Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.

Philanthropist and Entrepreneur John Walton Killed in Airplane Crash
Monday June 27, 8:19 pm ET

BENTONVILLE, Ark., June 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- It is with great sorrow that Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., announces the death of John Walton. A Vietnam War hero, member of the Wal-Mart Board of Directors and philanthropist, Walton was killed when the ultra-light aircraft he was piloting crashed shortly after take-off from the Jackson Hole Airport in Grand Teton National Park. The crash occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. CDT and the cause has not yet been determined. Walton, 58, was the aircraft's sole occupant.

I haven't shopped at Wal-Mart in years. I refuse to spend my money there and have had a dislike for the Walton family for quite some time. I was shocked and sadden tonight when I read this about John Walton, the second son of Wal-Mart founder, Sam Walton;
"Walton served in the U.S. Army Green Berets as a medic during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Silver Star for saving the lives of several members of his unit while under intense enemy fire".

Not sure what lesson there is in that.

CHURCHGOING REPUBLICAN PLEADS GUILTY

Dennis Rader, aka the BTK Killer, a churchgoing republican and former scoutmaster who terrorized Wichita, Kansas for over 30 years, pleaded guilty today to 10 strangulation murders.

Saying he was motivated by sexual fantasies, Rader admitted stalking and killing 10 people in the Wichita, Kansas area over a 17-year span that ended in 1991.

Rader, a married father of two, has not been accused of sexually assaulting his victims, but he admitted masturbating over some of them.

Rader is a former city ordinance enforcement officer for suburban Park City who has been described as a family man and Cub Scout leader who was active in the Lutheran Church.

Rader did not apologize during Monday's hearing, though Steve Osburn, one of his defense lawyers, suggested that he may apologize at his sentencing, set for Aug. 17.

LEADERSHIP

OR LACK THEREOF

"I can't say if the use of force would last five days or five weeks or five months, but it certainly isn't going to last any longer than that." Donald Rumsfeld on National Public Radio - 2003

"The level of activity that we see today from a military standpoint, I think, will clearly decline. I think they're in the last throes, if you will, of the insurgency." Dick Cheney - 6/20/05

"We're not going to win against the insurgency. The Iraqi people are going to win against the insurgency. That insurgency could go on for any number of years. Insurgencies tend to go on five, six, eight, 10, 12 years."
Donald Rumsfeld - 6/26/05

"We made basic mistakes going into Iraq from the beginning. We never had enough troops going in. We should have had at least double or triple. There was one bad decision after another. [One] bad decision was allowing Don Rumsfeld and the Pentagon to run postwar Iraq. It's an absolute joke to say that we have a coalition of the willing." Chuck Hagel - 6/20/05

SUNDAY'S EDITORIAL

DEMOCRATS VS. REPUBLICANS

The United States is a country with a two party system of government made up of Democrats and Republicans. You're either one or you're the other or you're totally insignificant. If you lean center-left and you vote for a 3rd party candidate, you just helped elect a Republican. The opposite is true if you're center-right and you vote 3rd party, you will help elect a Democrat.

I am a Yellow Dog Democrat. I would vote for a yellow dog before I would vote for a Republican.

I am a Democrat because I am a fiscal conservative. You cannot be a fiscal conservative and a Republican if you know the truth about what Republicans have actually done over the last 25 years. Republicans over the last 25 years have epitomized fiscal bankruptcy.

I will try not to bore you with too much rhetoric but I will prove my point with the statistical facts and I welcome any challenges to those statistics/numbers because they come directly from the Congressional Budget Office, and they are easily attainable. In fact, their website is at the end of this.

FEDERAL SPENDING
Many people refer to Ronald Reagan as a 'fiscal conservative' and nothing could be further from the truth. In Reagan's 8 years in office his average increase in federal spending was 6.8%. Compare that to Bill Clinton whose average increase was only 3.55%.

When told this many people attempt to excuse Reagan because of the 'Cold War' spending but that's factually incorrect. If military spending had increased only by the rate of inflation during Reagan's 8 years in office, his average increase in spending would still have been 5.76%, still much higher than Bill Clinton.

An often-repeated fallacy is that Bill Clinton cut military spending and that is how he held down federal spending. Military spending was $292 billion per year when he came into office and it was $306 billion in his last year in office. They obviously confuse his record with George Bush the Elder, who in his 4 years in office reduced military spending from $304 billion to the $292 billion mentioned above.

DEFICITS AND THE NATION'S DEBT
Ronald Reagan was a miserable failure when it came to balancing the federal budget with an average yearly deficit of nearly $177 billion and adding $1.4 TRILLION to the nation's debt during his two terms in office. Another fallacy of this era that is usually spouted by Reagan-revisionists was that the "Democrats in Congress made him do it", which is totally ridiculous since the Senate had a Republican majority from 1981 to 1987.

Bill Clinton? Bill Clinton's administration is the only one since Dwight Eisenhower to balance a budget and they balanced four in a row. The amount added to the debt during Clinton's two terms? None. In fact, the cumulative total of his eight budgets was a SURPLUS of $62 billion.

The two George Bush's? If you think you're a conservative and a republican, you don't want to know. But I am going to tell you anyway. George HW averaged deficits of $259 billion a year and George W has averaged an astronomical $328 billion in his first four. Together the two Bush's have added $2.35 TRILLION to the nation's debt in their combined eight years in office.

So that's Reagan's $1.4 TRILLION and the Bush's $2.35 TRILLION for a grand total of $3.75 TRILLION in debt from three presidents that you want to be called 'conservative'?

Keep in mind; the $3.75 trillion is just the principle. The nation's debt is currently $7.7 trillion and all but about a trillion is directly attributed to these three 'conservatives' (sic).

Jimmy Carter left office in 1981, and when he left the nation's debt was $789 billion-now it's $7.7 TRILLION. Bill Clinton didn't add a dime to that debt, so guess who is responsible for almost $7 TRILLION of it? Ronald Reagan, George Herbert Walker Bush and George Walker Bush. Three Republicans and definitely NOT fiscal conservatives!

And you so-called conservatives say you think the federal government spends too much? Well, last year the interest on that $7.7 trillion debt was $322 billion. One year's worth of interest-almost $27 billion a MONTH added to the bill. And you Republicans want to be called fiscal conservatives?

I'm a Yellow Dog Democrat and I'm a fiscal conservative. I would vote for a yellow dog before I would vote for a Republican.

If you think you are a fiscal conservative and you vote for Republicans, you are screwing up big time. If you think you're a fiscal conservative and you normally vote center-right or for Republicans and you are thinking of voting for a 3rd party-thanks for the help.

IRAN EMULATES THE U.S.

IRAN AND THE AMERICAN TALIBAN
CHENEY & RUMSFELD ROOT AGAINST U.S. INTERESTS

Ultra-conservative religious zealot, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wins big in Iran and mirrors the election of George W. Bush last November when he narrowly defeated John Kerry with almost unanimous support of ultra-conservative religious zealots in the U.S. Ken Pollack of the Brookings Institution admits that 'U.S. hawks have a "bizarre preference" for Iran's new president.

It may be 'bizarre' to Mr. Pollack, but isn't 'bizarre' at all to those honest enough to admit who the religious bigoted zealots are in this country.

'As hardliners and pragmatists battle it out in the final round of Iran's presidential election today, rifts within the Bush administration have exposed a lack of coherent US policy towards the Islamic republic, as well as serious differences with much of Europe'.

"The Bush administration is as deeply divided as the Iranian government," commented Ken Pollack, analyst at the Brookings Institution.

'US "hawks", he said, had a bizarre preference for Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad, a fundamentalist and hardliner, over Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, the former president who sought to establish his more pragmatic credentials in part by making overtures to the US during his election campaign'.

'For the US hardliners, led by Vice-President Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld, the defense secretary, Mr. Rafsanjani presents the danger of exacerbating the divisions between the US, which is essentially trying to contain Iran, and Europe which favors the engagement approach'.

Cheney and Rumsfeld once again going against what was best for the U.S.

GET YOUR WALLET OUT

No additional money for Vets but plenty for Iraq?

"And we hope that Mr. Bush will try to redo a Marshall Plan, calling it the Bush Plan, to help Iraq, to help the Iraqi people."
Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari-with his Sugar-Daddy at the White House on 6/24/05

So, the Prime Minister of Iraq now wants an additional $80 billion to rebuild his country? Isn't the almost $300 billion Bush has wasted in Iraq enough? The Veterans Administration has declared they will be $1 billion short this coming year and Republicans denied (every single republican voted 'no', except Arlen Specter and every single Democrat voted 'yes' on a $2 billion supplemental funding bill for wounded Americans returning from Iraq) our military wounded a measly $2 billion but we can spend $400 billion of our tax dollars on Iraqis? Aren't you fools embarrassed to be Republicans? You should be.

KOOLAIDSUBLIMINAL 'S WEEKLY UPDATE

WEEK ENDING, JUNE 24, 2005

DOW JONES INDUSTRIAL AVERAGE (DJIA)
Unfortunately, I jumped the gun a little last Saturday by trumpeting George Bush finally, after 4 year and 149 days, surpassing the DJIA that was what William Jefferson Clinton had left him. Last Friday closed at 10,622 (it was 10,582 when President Clinton left office) but at the close of today's business on Wall Street, it has once again has done a 'republican', falling to 10,298. 'Nik Faldo' commented with "Guess you never heard of the stock market going up and down -eh?" Well, my question for Nik would be, What does the word 'up' mean to you exactly?

OSAMA OR SOVEREIGNTY

We found out this week that the Bush administration is failing miserably not only in its lie in Iraq but also in the pursuit of the terrorists that attacked us on 9/11. Porter Goss and Bush are paying lip service and pandering to Pakistan. That's treason on both accounts. We will convict those bastards when we can get their accomplices out of Congress in 2006

MISSISSIPPI BURNING

Only in a redneck Red state like Mississippi could a right-wing, bigoted redneck like Edgar Ray Killen hide in plain sight from justice for 41 years. Rot cracker! Sorry Trent, but you shouldn't have any problems finding a lot more like his sorry ass down there.

FLAG DAY

Congress is more concerned with symbolism than they are with the Constitution. An estimated 12-18 cases a year and we have to fool with the Constitution? Too many goddamn Republicans.

UN-INTELLIGENT DESIGN

Republican are ignorant in their denial of evolution and they could care less about the 1st Amendment to the Constitution. I say give their dumbasses Kansas and Mississippi and get them the hell out of our business. There will be some property for sale near me when that glorious moment occurs!

KARL ROVE

What needs to be said about another lying little asshole Republican?

BUSH'S IRAQ TODAY.

It's the 24th of June and already we have another 70+ Americans dead in Iraq this month. Republicans are hiding under their beds and doing what they do best-nothing. Send the fucking Bush twins, the Cheney bitches and Colin Powell's fat-ass son over to Baghdad and I'll bet you that goddamn war would be over by noon tomorrow. Put up or shut up chickenhawks!

IT'S TIME TO PUT UP OR SHUT UP

6 U.S. Dead In Iraq Convoy Attack
TODAY-6/24/05
'A suicide car bomber slammed into a U.S. military convoy in Fallujah, killing five U.S. Marines and a sailor, CBS News National Security Correspondent David Martin reports. Martin said three women were among those killed.

The women Marines were members of a supply unit being driven into Fallujah to assist in searching local women for hidden weapons. The armored military vehicle the Marines were riding in was struck by the bomber.

Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said another 13 Marines were wounded in the Thursday night attack. Martin reports 11 of the wounded were women'.

All right all you war-mongering chickenhawks, its time to put or shut the fuck up. Let's start with the lead criminal, George Bush, or 'W' like so many of you like to call him.

W, its obvious by today's devastating news that the Army needs women so they can be used for searching Iraqi women, so sucker, its time to send one, or preferably both of your twin daughters off to fight this war you seem to think is so justifiable. Your daughters don't seem to be doing anything else at the moment and it gives you the opportunity to finally back up your lies that unnecessarily led us into Iraq, with some of your 'capital' that you talk about so much about.

As for the rest of you chickenhawk cheerleaders? Put down your fucking pom-poms and if you're under 32 years old, get your ass to the Army recruiting office ASAP. And, if you're over 32 and you have children, sons or daughters, who can go and fight then you need to send them over and stop sitting back and watching others die for your crime.

The Army and the Marines have missed their recruiting goals for 5 months in a row and it's a little more than ironic that that's just around the time 62 million of you assholes voted for the criminal and backed his war; so it's time to put up or shut the fuck up!

LIES ABOUT THE RECENT PAST

Karl Rove-Good German ancestry

"It is always simply a matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. WHEN SIMPLE MINDS LEAD

House OKs Flag Burning Amendment

By a 286-130 vote, House members approved the amendment - as they have six times before - after a debate over whether such a ban would uphold or run afoul of the Constitution's free-speech protections. The measure now advances to the Senate, where activists on both sides say it stands the best chance of passage in its 16-year history.

"If the flag needs protection at all, it needs protection from members of Congress who value the symbol more than the freedoms that the flag represents." Jerrold Nadler D-NY

RIDGE ADMITS THE OBVIOUS

WASHINGTON — The Bush administration periodically put the USA on high alert for terrorist attacks even though then-Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge argued there was only flimsy evidence to justify raising the threat level, Ridge now says.

Anyone who isn't a Bush kool aid drinking sheep knows he and his minions have been manipulating all the gutless pansy-asses with those phony terror alerts. And, why not, it worked.

EVOLUTION & UNINTELLIGENT DESIGN

'Some politically powerful religious groups dismiss the theory, despite its widespread acceptance throughout the rest of the world.

Instead, they advance a hypothesis that holds that the universe is so complex that it must have been designed by an "intelligent" being, i.e. God, and is not the result of random natural selection'.

'It is between fifty and sixty years since I read it [the Apocalypse], and I then considered it merely the ravings of a maniac, no more worthy nor capable of explanation than the incoherences of our own nightly dreams'.

-Thomas Jefferson, letter to General Alexander Smyth, Jan. 17, 1825

Apocalypse Now

LOST ANOTHER VOTER TODAY

Brother Lott lost a big supporter and Mississippi lost one of their finest 'preachers' today.

"Killen, a part-time preacher and sawmill operator, was tried in 1967 on federal charges of violating the victims' civil rights. But the all-white jury deadlocked, with one juror saying she could not convict a preacher. Seven others were convicted, but none served more than six years."

OSAMA OR SOVEREIGNTY?

SAYING ONE THING...

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

AND DOING ANOTHER....

NEW YORK The director of the C-I-A says he has -- quoting here -- an "excellent idea" where Osama bin Laden is hiding.
But Porter Goss indicated that the United States just can't go in and snatch him, telling Time magazine that America has to respect the sovereignty of other nations.

Instead, Goss says, "we have to find a way to work in a conventional world in unconventional ways."

Goss didn't say where he thinks bin Laden is, or specify the countries that may be giving him sanctuary. But American officials have long said they believe bin Laden is hiding in the rugged mountains along the Afghan-Pakistan border.

GENEVA WHO?

'A U.S. military policeman who was beaten by fellow MPs during a botched training drill at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, prison for detainees has sued the Pentagon for $15 million, alleging that the incident violated his constitutional rights.

Spec. Sean Baker, 38, was assaulted in January 2003 after he volunteered to wear an orange jumpsuit and portray an uncooperative detainee. Baker said the MPs, who were told that he was an unruly detainee who had assaulted an American sergeant, inflicted a beating that resulted in a traumatic brain injury.

As he was being choked and beaten, Baker said, he screamed a code word, "red," and shouted: "I'm a U.S. soldier! I'm a U.S. soldier!" The beating continued, he said, until the jumpsuit was yanked down during the struggle, revealing his military uniform'.

Damn Baker, you should have told them you were one of the REAL detainees and you could have just sat back comfortably reading the Koran in your air-conditioned tent, munching on some rice pilaf.

FATHER'S DAY

MY THREE SONS
What better way to celebrate Father's Day than to recognize the accomplishments and the rewards of all the 'hard work' of the Bush Family? This is quite an old (but excellent) article (Sept 1992), which actually adds to it a bit by looking at this fine family retrospectively, and will help you recognize what all of us can accomplish if we work hard and know a few well-connected millionaires along the way.

HE LOVES THE LITTLE CHILDREN

Deadly Immunity
The crazy-ass, Jesus-hating liberals, led by a another damn Kennedy no less, are once again harping on the drug, Thimerosal, and it's relationship to autism and children from the little bit of mercury used in it. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has written a long 4-page anti-free market diatribe for a joint 'Salon/Rolling Stone (goddamn hippies) investigation'; and stirring up hatred toward our pharmaceutical industry again. Kennedy Jr. is a lot like his old man with all that 'justice for the little guy' crap!

Robert F. Jr. is just another whining do-gooder liberal when he brings up once again the "Eli Lilly Protection Act" that was mysteriously added to the Homeland Security Bill in 2002. Just because Bill Frist slipped a rider into that Bill that gave Eli Lilly and other drug companies immunity from any liability for Thimerosal, and even if it is true Eli Lilly gave Frist $10,000 for his campaign and bought 5,000 copies of his book, you can't tell me a good Christian man like Senator Frist would ever do such a thing.

Kennedy also alludes to the nauseating and often-repeated liberal rant about George W's budget director at the time, Mitch Daniels (now Indiana Governor) being a former executive at Eli Lilly. Yeah sure, a man like W would do something so sinister as to choose pharmaceutical companies over what's right for the children! George W. Bush is a God-fearing Christian, and he loves the little children.

YOU GOTTA GIVE W HIS DUE!

Hey all you loudmouth liberals out there who make fun of George W for being the first president since Hoover to have negative job growth in a term and criticize him for squandering the budget surplus, well shut the hell up! We've got one on you now! You know what the DOW Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was when YOUR boy left office back in January of 2001? It was only 10,582! And, what was it at the close of business on Friday? 10,622! Yeah, we passed you and it only took 4 years and 149 days to do it!

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS

PAY TO PLAY

Dad picks up $600 tab to get Marine battle ready

"John Tod of Mesa had been prepared to face Father's Day worrying about his son's pending date with the war in Iraq. Then Uncle Sam stepped in with more disappointing developments.

Marine Pfc. Jeremy Tod called home with news that his superiors were urging him and fellow Marines to buy special military equipment, including flak jackets with armor plating, to enhance the prospects of their survival.

The message was that such purchases were to be made by Marines with their own money.
"He said they strongly suggested he get this equipment because when they get to Iraq they will wish they had," Tod said.

Total estimated cost: $600.

Does anyone know what we're spending $7 billion a month on in Iraq?  It certainly isn't on protecting our troops!

LET US PRAY

JUST SAY NO TO CANCER
Drug makers, Merck and GlaxoSmithKline in April of this year announced they might have developed a vaccine for the STD (sexually transmitted disease), human papillomavirus (HPV). HPV is thought to be the cause of nearly 70% of cervical cancer cases in the U.S.

Eliav Barr, Senior Director of Biologics Clinical Research at Merck said, "The best way to prevent infection is to vaccinate the population just before they become sexually active, which is when they're young,"

When news of this potentially wonderful cure for cancer was announced, Bridget Maher of the conservative Family Research Council said her group would oppose such a vaccine and "the best way to prevent HPV is through abstinence".

THAT WAS THOSE GUYS?

RONNIE REAGAN ON MULLAH OMAR AND OSAMA BIN LADEN
'The Afghan Mujaheddin are the moral equivalent of the Founding Fathers of America'.
Ronald Reagan honoring Afghan 'freedom fighters' at the White House

FROM AN ARTICLE ON THE MUJAHEDDIN
'Among these thousands of foreign recruits was a young Saudi student, Osama bin Laden. He first traveled to Peshawar in 1980 and met the Mujaheddin leaders'.

BUT THAT WAS THEN

LIMBAUGH IN MAY 2004
'There are some liberals who believe that we provoke all this just by being who we are. Al-Qaeda flew planes into the Trade Center and Pentagon, killing 3,000. If anybody tries to tell you that these prison pictures are responsible for Nick Berg's death, I want you to tell them to stuff it. This is just Al-Qaeda being who they are'.

LIMBAUGH JUNE 14, 2005 (Talking about those same pictures)
'Let me tell you something, folks, if we are hit again, if we are hit again, we need to hold these people in our country who are undermining our efforts responsible. It's going to be the fault of politicians, left-wing groups and the like'.

Real consistent, huh? But his ditto-heads are too stupid to remember anyway.
