Another 'Family Values' republican,(you know, the phone-sex pervert) Bill O'Reilly, today on his radio program lied about poverty going down under Bush
The fact of the matter is, poverty has gone UP every year under George Bush while it went DOWN every year under Bill Clinton.
Republicans are liars and they can't win the arguments on their record so they lie to their sheep and the sheep are too ignorant to know better.

Another lying republican, Rev. Joe Watkins, a Bush-Cheney '04 campaign adviser, appeared on CNN comparing poverty levels under Clinton and Bush and he totally misrepresented the facts. There is no comparison. In fact, there is no comparison in any statistic that has do with the economic well being of this country when it comes to Bush and Clinton. Bush is a miserable failure while things have NEVER been better economically than when Bill Clinton was leading this country.
Republicans have no shame. The vast majority of them are liars and you have to know your stuff (or read Kool Aid Subliminal)and call them on it when they repeat their bullshit. It's very easy to make fools of them when you know the facts.

Misleadingly citing poverty statistics on the September 12 edition of CNN's Paula Zahn Now, Watkins stated that "under Bill Clinton, 15.1 percent of the population was poor; under President Bush, 12.7 percent of the population is poor. That's a reduction, that's a good thing." But the poverty rate declined every year Clinton was in office, from 15.1 percent when he took office in 1993 to a low of 11.3 percent in 2000; it has risen every year that Bush has been in office, from 11.7 percent in 2001 to 12.7 percent in 2004".
